    Darren is the heart of Urban Timber. As a passionate craftsman and dedicated owner, he puts his soul into every piece, personally building each project by hand with precision and pride. With a deep respect for the artistry of woodwork, Darren is always exploring innovative materials and techniques to push the boundaries of design. When he’s not in the workshop, you’ll find him enjoying quality time with his family or diving into his love for all things automotive.

    As Darren’s wife and longtime creative partner, Leanne has been deeply involved in shaping the soul of Urban Timber. From the beginning, she’s brought a bold, driven energy to the business. While she now balances her time as a successful real estate agent in Edmonton, Leanne continues to play an active role in the business, supporting the team and contributing her unique perspective to this family-run venture.

    Opperations Coordinator

    Dylan is a key part of the Urban Timber team, known for being the one who gets things done—no matter what. As our Operations Coordinator, he handles everything behind the scenes, with a special focus on shipping and logistics. If something needs organizing, sourcing, or solving, Dylan is already on it. Outside of work, he’s actively involved in his church, plays on a ball hockey team, and is a die-hard Star Wars fan.

As our Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer, she oversees everything from content creation to brand identity, making sure our look and voice reflect the quality and care we put into our work. Whether it’s social media, design, or strategy, Kelly brings fresh ideas and a driven mindset to every project. Outside of the office, she’s all about pilates, fashion, and self-care—always finding inspiration in the details.

    President of Belly Rubs

    Lou, our energetic Boxer, is the unofficial mascot and mood booster of Urban Timber. She’s full of personality, always on the move, and absolutely lives for attention and belly rubs. Whether she’s bouncing around the shop, making surprise visits to meetings, or just keeping spirits high, Lou brings a whole lot of love (and laughs) to the team every day.

  • No, we do not dismantle barns.

  • While we used to offer barn doors, we no longer provide this service.

  • Yes, we have a showroom! Please book an appointment with us to visit and explore our products.

  • For all your siding and decking needs, please visit texelwood.ca.

  • Unfortunately, we do not offer stain matching services at this time.

  • A maintenance kit should have been included with your table purchase. If you run out, you can easily order a replacement on Amazon.

  • Yes, we recommend occasional care using the spray bottle provided. For regular cleaning, simply wipe the surface with a warm, damp cloth.

  • Yes, we offer delivery within the Edmonton area. Please contact us to confirm delivery details.

  • Due to the time involved, we charge per visit for refinishing services. We do not offer free refinishes.

  • Our box beams are customizable! We can create them to any size, as long as you provide the inside dimensions.

  • Yes, we have mantels available. Please book an appointment to view our selection in person.

  • Yes, we can make sink and stove cutouts for countertops, with an additional fee for this service.

  • We only sell finished products and do not carry raw lumber.
