    Founder, darren@urbantimber.ca

    Darren is the heart of Urban Timber. As a passionate craftsman and dedicated owner, he puts his soul into every piece, personally building each project by hand with precision and pride. With a deep respect for the artistry of woodwork, Darren is always exploring innovative materials and techniques to push the boundaries of design. When he’s not in the workshop, you’ll find him enjoying quality time with his family or diving into his love for all things automotive.

    Co-Founder

    As Darren’s wife and longtime creative partner, Leanne has been deeply involved in shaping the soul of Urban Timber. From the beginning, she’s brought a bold, driven energy to the business. While she now balances her time as a successful real estate agent in Edmonton, Leanne continues to play an active role in the business, supporting the team and contributing her unique perspective to this family-run venture.

    Opperations Coordinator

    Dylan is a key part of the Urban Timber team, known for being the one who gets things done—no matter what. As our Operations Coordinator, he handles everything behind the scenes, with a special focus on shipping and logistics. If something needs organizing, sourcing, or solving, Dylan is already on it. Outside of work, he’s actively involved in his church, plays on a ball hockey team, and is a die-hard Star Wars fan.

    Kelly is the creative eye behind Urban Timber’s brand. As our Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer, she oversees everything from content creation to brand identity, making sure our look and voice reflect the quality and care we put into our work. Whether it’s social media, design, or strategy, Kelly brings fresh ideas and a driven mindset to every project. Outside of the office, she’s all about pilates, fashion, and self-care—always finding inspiration in the details.

    President of Belly Rubs

    Lou, our energetic Boxer, is the unofficial mascot and mood booster of Urban Timber. She’s full of personality, always on the move, and absolutely lives for attention and belly rubs. Whether she’s bouncing around the shop, making surprise visits to meetings, or just keeping spirits high, Lou brings a whole lot of love (and laughs) to the team every day.

    Darren’s dad and a true craftsman, Verne has been with UT since the very beginning. His love for wood and hands-on approach have helped shape the soul of everything we do, blending passion, tradition, and skill in every project.
